2020 – The year of the dream home
This year has been one hell of a ride, but now it will forever be known as the year you built your new home! Yerrrp, the rumours are officially true, the Federal Gov has put $25k on the table to help you build a new home. AND, to make the deal even sweeter (and smarter), you can combo it with all the Grants flying around, including any of our Smart promos. Can we get a HELL YAY!?!
Time is money
This stimulus package isn’t just for anyone, it’s for those of you who are ready to make moves this year. So, you have to get in fast. To qualify for the HomeBuilder stimulus package, you need to sign your build contract between June 4th and December 31st of 2020. We kinda see it as cementing this year as more than just the year you discovered how many M&Ms you could fit in your mouth before you had to un-mute your Zoom meeting. I mean, it can still be that too, but 2020 is now officially rebranded as the year of the dream home!
All our Smart Homes are up for grabs
The deal is, when you build your new home, you obviously have to live in it, but it also has to be $750k or under. That suits us just perfectly because it means that ALL of our Smart Homes are on the table! Have you seen The Grand Madeleine? Or The Grand Olivia? Okay, we need to chill but seriously 😉
What does your 2021 summer look like?
To qualify for the $25k, you need to be an Aussie citizen over 18 and have a regular income. For singles, that’s capped at $125k per annum and $200k p/a combined for couples. Ahhhmazing, right!? You also need to start building within three months of signing the contract. It’s the perfect incentive to get 2020 back on track and steal the whole year back from the sweaty grip of Rona. Too far? Soz, but just imagine the summer hangs at your place in 2021. Wow that sounds really far away but it’s not, promise!
The boring deets
This part is pretty boring but hey, if you’re interested then who are we to deny you more info. Here goes: The HomeBuilder stimulus will be implemented via a National Partnership Agreement, signed by the Commonwealth and State and Territory governments. This basically means that the powers at be will utilise existing state and territory mechanisms to distribute the HomeBuilder payments. Oh, and the whole thing is expected to cost $680 million! Just another day for Kylie Jenner’s credit card*.
*Forbes data yet to be confirmed.
